When the worlds were created, the Gods believed there ought to be a way travel between the worlds. The thought also arose: how would death be handled? And what of those who wish to speak to their God?
So the Gods created an extra plane of existence. One where spirits could exist and beings could converse with their Diety. All souls converge here at one point or another, whether forcibly or by choice.
The Higher Plane is ruled over by Nerameshu, who acts as a go-between for the Gods and their mortal creations.
